Yoga, as expounded by Sage Patanjali, is eventually the removal of thoughts or mental activities, and as a result of this our true self–Consciousness–emanates. Consciousness is the all pervading power or presence that is underlying everything in creation, both living and nonliving. It is present in and is underlying our body and mind too. It is our true nature, but most of us only know ourselves as the body and mind, and have forgotten that we are Consciousness manifested in this form temporarily. The path of yoga is to realize that aspect of our being and live the rest of our lives as Consciousness.

With these personal sessions you will learn practices to become aware of and abide in your true nature, as Consciousness. You will also reap the added benefits of single-minded focus, presence, and equanimity; qualities that help to end suffering and handle life situations in a more balanced way, making your life happier and harmonious.

You will meet with the teacher once a week and learn a set of practices. For the rest of the week, you will practice on your own whatever you have learnt. Eventually, you should be established in a daily practice routine and feel confident about practicing on your own. We suggest signing up for 10-12 sessions to build a good foundation for your practice, but you’re welcome to choose a number that works for you.
